Balloon Boy's Parents To Plead Guilty

Balloon boy's parents, Mayumi and Richard Heene, have both plead guilty to charges against them in the hoax the fame hungry family pulled on the entire nation.

Mayumi Heene is pleading guilty to false reporting to authorities, a misdemeanor, while her husband Richard Heene is pleading guilty to attempting to influence a public servant, a felony, says their lawyer David Lane in a statement.

Prosecutors have allowed the pair to both serve probation sentences.

Sounds like they got off light!

Just think of all the man power and money that was spent using local and federal resources tracking that damn ballon. It's a shame they pulled that stunt. I hope the get locked up and have to payback the money.

YOu shouldnt be printing stories about these losers. Publicity is what motivated them to pull off this stunt in the first place. Don't encourage bad behavior!
