Facebook: The Movie?!
Posted on Thu Aug 28, 2008 10:24 AM PDT

Yup, and who better than Aaron Sorkin to write it! Right? The West Wing and Studio 60 scribe is currently in negotiations to write an untitled film about the founders of Facebook, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Sorkin broke the news when he created his own Facebook group last week. He confirms that he'll be writing the movie (which will be produced by Scott Rudin, who has worked on Oscar-winning films like No Country For Old Men), and he even asks group members to share their own Facebook stories.
Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his Harvard roommates, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. Initially, only Harvard students could join, but the networking site quickly expanded to all Ivy League schools and then all universities in the United States. The next step was adding all high schools in the U.S. and Canada, and now over 100 million people all over the globe are members.
Is this movie a good idea? I mean, it IS Aaron Sorkin writing it!

lol....Facebook? a friends told me that when we chatted onine on tall dating site ___Tallmingle.com___,not break news.
kind of arrogant of him to say that other people is using his name, does he think that he's the only person in the whole entire country or world named Aaron Sorkin???
Jmd your soo funny.. i love when you leave the body check comments.. =)
jMD you have issues. Jessica is just you. Poor thing.
Boring! I'm a Harvard ('93) alum and like the story as a book, but as a movie? Zzzzzz. Mezrich and Sorkin should do something sexier and more action packed like the girl-boy-girl romance "Caribbean Dreams: True Story of an Ivy League Couple who Bought a Strip Club in the Caribbean" www.caribbeanstripclub.com This geeky Facebook stuff is interesting to us academics, but NOT for the big screen!
