Jeez - has it really only been a decade and a half since indie rock was dominated by glum sourpusses who'd never publicly admit to any fondness for a hip-hop act in a billion years? It certainly feels like longer, especially when we catch Fall Out Boy lead singer Pete Wentz leaning out of his car to say hello to tiny TRL-topper Lady Sovereign - I mean, if it were 1993, wouldn't you have been shocked to see what's-his-face from Collective Soul shouting out Speech from Arrested Development?
Really, though, seeing Pete reach across the Rock & Roll aisle shouldn't be too much of a surprise - after all, isn't he dating Ashlee Simpson?

fall out boy fucking sucks, i listened to them when i was in 6th grade, there becoming big now & i'm in 11th. petes the bassist, not the lead singer, and the rest of the band gets no recognition because that assholes takes up all the spotlight. hes not even goodlooking. and he plays bass liek shit.
You people have obviously never met Pete, but I have several times and he's always very polite and friendly, not stuck up and arrogant at all. He's cute, close-up, too. I guess he's enjoying the celeb circuit while he can. Anyone would if they moved to LA from Chicago this year like he did.
