The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, will be performing at Whitney Houston's New Jersey funeral, according to NBC New York.
Franklin, who is Houston's godmother, will join the service being held at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark on Saturday.
Carolyn Whigham, who is handling the invitation-only funeral, said the following about the service:
- "Whitney has shared her entire life with the public. This is her final farewell. Let her family share that time with her."
NBC NY is also reporting that gospel singer Marvin L. Winans will deliver the eulogy.
Houston's body arrived at the Whigham Funeral Home earlier this week.
No word on what Aretha will be singing.
