Whitney Houston In Rehab For Drugs And Alcohol

Whitney Houston has checked into rehab for drug and alcohol use, her rep confirms.

"We can confirm that Whitney Houston is currently in an out-patient rehab program for drug and alcohol treatment. Whitney voluntarily entered the program to support her long-standing recovery process."

Apparently the singer is allowed to go out in public as long as she's accompanied by a monitor. A week ago, Houston was spotted at a Prince concert in Los Angeles with daughter Bobbi Kristina. Houston reportedly joined Prince on stage at one point.

Bobbi Kristina came under fire when photos of her supposedly snorting cocaine surfaced online in March. The teenager denied that she was doing the drug. Then, in early May, reports came to light that the teen had been arrested on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol and that a gun was somehow involved in the incident.
