BREAKING NEWS - Whitney Houston Dead At 48

Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston died Saturday afternoon, her rep has confirmed.
The chart-topping artist is survived by her 18-year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina and her ex-husband Bobby Brown.
No cause of death has yet been released.
The singer was found on the floor of her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where Houston's mentor Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party is to be held tonight. Several friends and colleagues tried to revive her, to no avail. CNN is reporting the Houston's bodyguard "Ray," was the one who found her. A spokesperson for the police department said at a press conference outside the hotel that an investigation is ongoing and as of 6pm PT, Houston's body is still inside the 4th-floor hotel room.
Unconfirmed reports place Houston's sometime-boyfriend Ray-J (Brandy's younger brother and Kim Kardashian's ex-boyfriend and sex tape partner) in the hotel room. CNN says Ray-J's rep denies the R&B singer was with Whitney when she died. It seems the confusion was that the singer's bodyguard is also named Ray.
Houston was the most-awarded female artist of all time. She sold over 200 million albums, won six Grammys, two Emmys and so many more.
Whitney started singing in her church choir in Newark, NJ -- the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston. She was discovered by Clive Davis when she performed at a New York nightclub.
Houston crossed over from music to the big screen, with her roles in The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale. Whitney had just wrapped filming on Sparkle -- a remake of the 1976 film loosely based on the Supremes.
Houston entered an out-patient drug and alcohol treatment program in May 2009. The singer had admitted her struggles with substance abuse to Diane Sawyer in a 2002 interview.
