Personally, I <3 Winona Ryder. Always have, always will. Her career may be over - unfortunately! - but she's got a string of too many great movie characters to ever be forgotten as an actress. (Consider Beetlejuice, Heathers and Reality Bites, to name just a few!)

I'm not a winona fan, but why would you say her career is over? Has she died? If she wants to make a movie or perform in a play or whatever, I'm sure she will find some script that she likes and do it. The niche that she fills as an actress is unique, and that makes her fully viable until she is no longer able to carry on.

Its over, she is not getting any major roles. Nobody is going to take a chance. Can you imagine having a big movie with 70 million ad budget, and she goes clepto in th middle of it. No way. She has a lot of money to fly around and do lessor parts, or B movies, but why would anyone take a gamble with her. They can 10 othr actresses for her parts. She had her chance and she blew it.
