Singer Mario Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Mom

R&B singer Mario was taken into custody in Baltimore this morning for allegedly hitting his mom in their apartment.
Police say Shawntia Hardaway, who is a former heroin addict, claims son Mario Dewar Bennett, 24, was "throwing and damaging property" in their shared apartment. Hardaway also says her son assaulted her with his hands and forearms ... and pushed her "eight feet into a living room wall."
When cops arrived at the scene, they found several damaged items including a broken mirror, a hole in the closet door and a busted china cabinet.
Mario was arrested for 2nd degree assault, and has been released on $50,000 bond.

This young man has been through hell. I give him a lot of credit for loving his mom and sticking with her through it all.
Heroin addicts are liar's, thieves, and a lot more.
I hope that his spiritual side will get him through this. He seems like he is truly devoted to his mother. I hope she does not pull him down through the hole she is in.
I wouldn't believe this at face value. Drug addicts make up lies all the time. Her heroin dealer could have beat her for not paying for her fix.

For anyone who says that he deserves to be put in jail.. Shame on you. You haven't lived the life of this young man. His mom is a heroine addict. the mom is a heroin addict, I wouldn't believe her so quickly. how come there are no reports about actually finding bruises on her? most likely he found her using again and got mad and took it on the furniture. I don't believe he's capable of abusing his mom, he's been doing so much to try to save her
