Why Zac Said No To 'Footloose'
Posted on Fri Apr 3, 2009 08:05 AM PDT
So this totally makes sense...
Zac Efron says he doesn't want to be typecast and that's why he decided to drop out of the planned remake of Footloose.
"I'm sure Footloose would have been a huge challenge," Efron tells EW.com, "but the actors that I love and the actors that work really hard in this industry are always shaking things up, trying new genres, acquiring new skill sets. That's what's always going to appeal to me: the unknown."
As we told you last week, instead Zac has agreed to re-team with 17 Again director Burr Stears to star in The Death & Life of Charlie St. Cloud, which is a super-natural coming of age/romance story.
Did Zac make the right choice?
Or should he have stuck with what he does best?

The dude should not try to be Like Leo and Johnny Depp.. cause he is not them, it just makes me mad when he is not even that great an actor, someone like Joseph Gordon Levitt should get all this acllaim, give spotlight to the talented
