Chris Pine, Alice Eve, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana struck a pose together at the London premiere of Star Trek: Into Darkness at Empire Cinema Leicester Square, and we can't wait to see this flick!

J.J. Abrams' latest installment of the film franchise is the first 3D Star Trek movie ever, and the director told reporters on the red carpet, "Sequels often do that where they kind of start and assume that you care. So we really had to say 'forget it, start over.' Of course knowing that fans of Star Trek are vocal and passionate and so if you are fan of Star Trek you will see things that will be rewards and references you will get, jokes you will get but you don't need to have seen it before."

This one's gonna be gooood!

Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto are back in the latest trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness, and this is also our first peek at Benedict Cumberbatch playing the villain Khan.

"After the crew of the Enterprise find an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction," reads the plot synopsis on IMDb.

Zachary Quinto looked out-of-this-world weird in his Dr. Spock costume as he shot scenes for the upcoming Star Trek sequel in Hollywood, on Saturday afternoon.

The original Vulcan, Leonard Nimoy, is also in talks to reprise his role in the upcoming flick, which will also feature the original Captain Kirk, William Shatner, according to the DailyMail.

We're just excited to see Chris Pine as the new (and much hotter!) Captain Kirk in 3D, when the sequel hits theaters next May!

Star Trek and Heroes star Zachary Quinto, 34, came out as a gay man on Sunday, and now the actor is explaining why.

Quinto writes on his blog that New York teenager Jamey Rodemeyer's suicide last month sparked his decision.

"In light of jamey's death – it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it – is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality ... it is my intention to live an authentic life of compassion and integrity and action. jamey rodemeyer's life changed mine."

Rodemeyer, 14, killed himself on Sept. 18 after being bullied by his classmates for being gay.

Zachary Quinto chatted with NY Magazine about his eight-month run in the play Angels in America, and for the first time the actor spoke openly about his sexuality.

In the production, Quinto plays Louis Ironson, a man who leaves his AIDS-stricken boyfriend, and he tells the mag, "It was the most challenging thing I've ever done as an actor, and the most rewarding." Quinto added, "At the same time, as a gay man, it made me feel like there's still so much work to be done, and there's still so many things that need to be looked at and addressed."

Later in the interview, the Star Trek actor discusses the struggle for gay equality and acceptance in society. "It’s like, you have the legalization of gay marriage in the state of New York and three months later you have Jamey Rodemeyer killing himself, yet another gay teenager bullied into taking his own life," Quinto says. "And, you know, again, as a gay man, I look at that and say there’s a hopelessness that surrounds it. But as a human being, I look at it and say, “Why? Where is this disparity coming from and why can’t we as a culture, as a society, dig deeper to examine it?” We’re terrified of facing ourselves, we’re terrified of what we’ll find and so, instead, we seem to waste time and energy with small-mindedness and intolerance and with bigotry and with hatred and with fear."

Last night, Santa Monica's Buffalo Club hosted one of the big Golden Globes' pre-parties, with everyone from Kate Hudson to Sean Penn, Carey Mulligan, Hilary Swank, Ashley Olsen & Justin Bartha, Rachel Bilson, Robert Downey, Jr., Morgan Freeman, Gossip Girls and guys, and too many others to even mention!

The Globes are the second biggest awards of the year, and usually a predictor for the Oscars, so it's no surprise that all of Hollywood has returned to LA for the weekend.
