LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Last week, Denise Richards filed papers at the Los Angeles Superior Court petitioning for her last name to be changed from Sheen to Richards, and that request has been approved.
When Richards married fellow actor Charlie Sheen in June of 2002, she legally changed her name to Denise Sheen, though the public still knew her by her maiden name. Even though the couple divorced in November of 2006, according to the documents, Sheen was her legal last name up until March 21, 2008.
Sheen and Richards have two children from their marriage, Sam, age 4 and Lola, age 2. Richards is currently working on a reality television show with E! that is set to premiere this summer.
