The Dark Knight Stays On Top For The Fourth Weekend

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Dark Knight held onto the number one spot at the box office and earned an additional $26 million this weekend, bringing its domestic gross to $441.5 million, which gives it the number three spot on the all-time box office performers list, just behind Star Wars at $460.9 million, which it is expected to beat this week.

The stoner comedy Pineapple Express brought in $22.4 million over the weekend, and since it opened on Wednesday it has earned $40.7 million. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor earned $16.1 million and secured the number three spot.
