LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Mark Wahlberg's action film "Max Payne" debuted in the top spot at this weekend's box office. The movie took in an estimated $18 million dollars in its opening weekend.

Oliver Stone's George W. Bush biopic, "W" opened in fourth place, bring in just over $10 million dollars.

Number one for the last two weeks, "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" dropped to second place, bringing in another $11.2 million. The live-action comedy has earned nearly $70 million in its three weeks of release.

The third spot went to "The Secret Life of Bees," which took in $11.1 million. The film stars Dakota Fanning, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys and Sophie Okonedo in a drama about a troubled teen learning life lessons through the beekeeping operations of three Southern sisters.
