LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - "Slumdog Millionaire" racked up another impressive showing this awards season, collecting seven British Academy Awards Sunday Night.

The film won Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay as well as awards for music, cinematography, edited and sound.

Mickey Rourke was named Best Actor for his performance in "The Wrestler."

Kate Winslet's performance in "The Reader" earned her the Best Actress award.

Heath Ledger's turn as the Joker in "The Dark Knight" earn the late actor a best supporting actor nod.

Best supporting actress was handed to Penelope Cruz for "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."
