LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Dreamworks Animation newest 3D feature "Mosters vs Aliens" topped the weekend box office race, bringing in $58.2 million, the biggest opening ever for a 3D film.
"The Haunting in Connecticut" from Lionsgate, had a strong opening in second place with $23 million. Nicolas Cage's "Knowing" took third place with $14.7 million in its second week of release.
Rounding out the top five, "I Love You Man," which earned $12.6 million for fourth and Julia Roberts "Duplicity," which collected another $7.6 million for fifth place.
