'Race To Witch Mountain' Takes Top Spot At Box Office

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Disney adventure "Race To Witch Mountain" topped the weekend box office, bringing in an estimated $25 million dollars in it's first weekend of release.
"Watchmen" dropped to second place, earning $18 million, according to studio estimates.
"The Last House on the Left" earned $14.7 million in third place, while "Taken" and " Madea Goes to Jail" rounded out the top five with $6.7 and $5.1 million dollars respectively.
Best Picture winner "Slumdog Millionaire" continued to perform well, just missing the top five with $5 million in ticket sales.
