LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The 24-year-old son of actors Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal will remain behind bars following his latest arrest on drug charges.
Redmond O'Neal's bail was set at $75,000 after was arrested for allegedly bringing heroin and Xanax to a jail facility north of Los Angeles on Sunday.
"Redmond won't be leaving jail anytime soon. Redmond could remain in custody until his next court date on April 24th. His dad won't be bailing him out. There is no chance that Redmond's friends would be bailing him out either as they don't have the financial capability to do so," an O'Neal family friend tells RadarOnline.com.
The younger O'Neal was scheduled to appear in a Malibu court for a status report related to a previous drug arrest today, however that hearing has been postponed due to the latest arrest.
What an idiot this kid must be. He's got the world at his feet and he messes up the privledge / gift of freedom with drugs! Drugs are so 80's and over. Why people start is a wonder!
Inpatient Rehab for a year might touch the heroin. (If he's lucky) Otherwise, kiss his ass goodbye.
What a pathetic little cretin! He has the world at his feet and chose drugs! He deserves what he gets!
What a selfish spoiled little brat. His mother is fighting for his life and this is what he does. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer either, bringing drugs to a jail. There's a reason it's called DOPE!
ok people, not defending the guy, but there is so such thing as an ADDICITION!!! heroin is the most powerful drug out there. you try it one time, and you are hooked for life. i'm sure he will have time to think about what he's done, as he's going through withdrawals.....but don't be so easy to judge, you don't know what he's going through
Hey Jen you bleeding heart addle brained idiot. How about not trying the drugs to begin with? What, this little delta alpha was forced at gun point to take an illicit drug? Then forced at gun point to bring it to jail? Is this guy that stupid that he forgot that they searched him last time he was incarcerated? Get a life and get an I.Q. greater than a carrot.
Aside from the fact that what he did was a stupid and hopeless act, How painful it must be for Farrah to read the vicious comments from some of you about the person she loves. Someone she helped to create and nurtured. You aren't sticking up for her - you are adding to it all. She probably doesn't need your hate right now. Kudos to Dad for tough love- Tough Love is harder on the parents than it is on the kid. WE all wonder what's wrong with the world- in my opinion- The trouble usually starts with someone's hateful tongue. Stop and think of somebody you love deeply - Seems like there is this old story in the bible about throwing stones.... There WILL be a time in your life that you will do or say something very stupid, Hope you have loving support (maybe from your mother?) at that time. Oh and don't bother hating on me-I don't care. I know where my strength and love comes from.
Oh, one more thing, what makes you think he has the world at his feet? His parents are entertainers? That makes him somehow super-human? Entertainment is just a high pressure job, people. Laugh and the world wants what you have - enough to rip you apart for it - Cry and the world kicks you while you're down. I forgot to mention that I am a local entertainer and raised my kids in the industry. It's not the entertainers who are phony, it's the public.
Dear Jen, Your excuse via the word addiction is no excuse. Also, many doctors will tell you that Cigarettes are more addictive or as addictive as Heroine. This is because Cigarette companies change the molecular structure by adding ammonia to the Nicotine, etc. This makes the cigarette a form of crack Nicotine. And people find a way to quit cigarettes. So please do not talk to me about addictive. I am anti drugs. However I was talked into smoking cigarettes 15 years ago by an ex-husband. I managed to quit cold turkey with no aids. So do not talk to me about addiction you little idiot Jen. As for Farrah's spoiled brat, he gets what he deserves. What he did Jen was not just stupid, it was a slap in the face to all of us born without a silver spoon in our mouths. And we have a right to be upset when we see someone born with two rich famous parents abuse their position in life. Come here all you bleeding heart liberal parents so I can smack ya.
TJ...give it up...First off, I highly doubt fawcett would be lying in the Hosp w her labtop, let alone tabbing to this particular site...Secondly, you claim youre an entertainer. Well, for the most part, the vast majority of entertainers of the world are never at home with their kids since they are usually found in the local clubs in the back rooms/bathroom wiping their nose as they call the nanny to see if their kid is ok.....please.....reserve judgement before you start spewing off on the public...has been...
The only thing "tough love" does is create and bring NO LOVE. Compassion only creates truth.
As Ryan knows from Love Story, "Love is never having to say you're sorry!" Don't say sorry, Redmond, we're proud of you just the way you are!
What a horses rear end he is.
His lovely mother could possibly be on her death bead in the hospital and he does something like this.
Drugs is a cop-out for dealing with a real life!! Needs a 'scared straight' program!!! (as does his dad, Ryan O'Neal)
What an idiot! His brain is so fried he brings dope to prison as is visits another idiot friend there? Well, guess what? Now he can visit with his idiot friend in prison full time! HA HA HA!!!
While in prison he can think about his sick mom. The poor woman is probably nearing death and he can't be there to support her because he is so stupid!
May this kick to the head finally get him to grow up and walk straight.
The laws are stupid! If addicts could buy their drug of choice at some dingy government run clinic (with 24/7 voluntary rehab attached) there would be hardly anyone doing drugs after a few years, because no profit or motivation for the pushers, and young people would see the addicts as losers and sickos. The guy is mentally ill- and the 'War On Drugs' an expensive failure!
The "War on Drugs" is an expensive failure because liberals tie the hands of law enforcement and military units. We dont allow them to do what is really necessary to win the war here at home, and more importantly, in the coutries that allow the drugs to be manufactured. You can't fight effectively when you have both hands tied behind your back. As for Redmond, he's getting what he deserves.
oh get real, the liberals are not at fault, our gov't does not want to stop drug use, they benefit too richly,de-criminalize drugs and we might get somewhere and last i heard addiction was a medical diagnosis you cretins
