I think she seriously is one of the best and brightest young actresses around. She has a good head on her shoulder. Wheras other actors and actresses her age go boozing, she makes an anti-domestic violence video with a crucially important message.

And I applaud her for doing this and showing how horrific domestic violence is. There are many more women affected by this than we know.

While I applaud her choice to make this film, I truly do, I do not think it is appropriate to show this film as a prequel to a movie in a theater. People seek out Youtube, and the channel can be changed or turned off on TV, but when going to a cinema, sitting down and consequently being trapped into watching something like this, it could prove to be more scarring than impactful, and could end up voicing over it’s own purpose.

I am concerned if a woman in is the theater with her abuser and this film is shown could this trigger the abuser? Does anyone really know what those triggers could be? I know I was abused and I never did know the trigger, anything and everything from not good enough, let me beat you into trying harder, or to perfect, let me knock off that attitude.... Well now you've seen that film thinking about calling for help? Let me knock that idea right out your head...

I do hope, at least, one of the many abusers get to see on the big screen the monsters they really are. Like all excess it is an ugly thing and we should speak up and protest it. I have seen far worse and offensive cuts in movie clips. Maybe if enough people see this reality they won't continue to excuse it.

I think this is a good ad but I agree VERY STRONGLY that this should not be shown in a "trap" environment.
