LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Miley Cyrus' compassion for animals has earned her recognition from People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
The animal rights group has commended the Disney darling for "taking pity on chickens who were used on the set of her new film Hannah Montana; The Movie."
Apparently, Miley became so attached to one of the chickens on the set that she decided to take the bird home because she "thought the bird was adorable and needed saving." Miley's mom Trish also brought home a few of the birds.
"Miley's heart is as big as her smile," says Dan Shannon, PETA's assistant director of Youth Outreach and Campaigns. "We hope that her act of compassion will inspire her fans to be kind to animals too."
Miley and her dad, Billy Ray, were also recognized for helping reunite a lost dog with its owner last year.
A pet chicken? Surely PETA jests. We all know that pets just lead to animal abuse, hell I won't be surprised if Miley ends up prancing around in a chicken-feather coat soon.
Peta kills more animals than any other so called "humane" society in this country. Check the facts. You kids today, what a bunch of morons.

I'm sure that she didn't choose to get the award from PETA. Heck , would anyone want an award from a group that feels eating fish is inhumane... Oh wait.. I remember now the Nirvana song- Fish REALLY do have feelings!
