LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Michael Jackson's family has arrived at Staples Center in Downtown Los Angeles for the public memorial service.
A police escort accompanied the procession of black Rolls Royces and Range Rovers from Forest Lawn in Burbank to Staples Center.
A hearse carrying Michael's body lead the procession, along with dozens of California Highway Patrol and LAPD officers.
The public memorial service is expected to begin shortly.

This is a very sad thing. I believe after today the world should let Michael Jackson R.I.P. Let him live on through our hearts and his music, but all of the negative publicity let it go! RIP Mike U'll always be remembered! To the Jackson family stay strong, it'll get better with time!

Michael was a wonderful entertainer and I feel he deserved this tribute. I think that the record company and Jackson's family should cover the 2million plus this has cost the bankrupted los angeles. They are going to certainly make a ton more money selling this memorial video and all the albums again.
