LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Pop princess Britney Spears will the queen of this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
Spears has received seven nominations for videos from her "Circus" album.
Last year, Spears won Video of the Year for "Piece of Me" - this year her "Womanizer" video will be competing with Beyonce's "Single Ladies," Eminem's "We Made You," Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," and Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" for the Moon Man.
Russell Brand announced the nominees in a video message posted on mtv.com as well as via his twitter account.
The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards will be broadcast live from New York City on September 13th.

It's amazing you don't even need to be able to sing to get nominated for these awards. I think the nominations are more out of pitty rather than talent. Yeah, she can dance, but much past a whisper, she can's sing.
