Adam Lambert Admits He "Got Carried Away" At The AMAs
Posted on Wed Nov 25, 2009 07:30 AM PDT

adamearlyshow.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Adam Lambert admitted to CBS' Early Show this morning that he "got carried away" during his sexed-up closing number at the AMAs.

"I do admit, I got carried away," Adam said of his sexed-up show. He also revealed that some of the more sexually-charged moves weren't planned. "Those came from more of an impromptu place. I think ABC was taken a little by surprise," Adam told Maggie Rodriguez in a segment they labeled "straight talk."

But is Adam being unfairly targeted because the moves were male-on-male? He thinks so. If it were "a female pop performer doing the moves ... I don't think there would have been nearly as much of an outrage," he said, adding that Janet Jackson grabbed a male dancers crotch at the opening of the show (at 8pm, instead of his later 11pm performance) and "I didn't hear one peep about that."

Adam went beyond Janet's little move. He is a great singer, but a very raunchy, undesciplined, entertainer. What audience is he playing to? It would seem during American Idol sweet little girls just loved him. So what does that performance say about his character and further introduction to fans that were first in line? Hello....got what I wanted from you, a vote, you are not my type, now move on!!I will never buy nor will I watch or support his music as long as he chooses to preform in that manner where families have to explain things children are not ready to understand. A heads-up would have been nice, then it would have been turned off. Say what you will, it was a well sung, beyond raunchy, pay-per-view show, not prime time entertainment! Save your breath, not justification needed, it won't work!

It's sad that he feels he has to go so overboard to make the rest of us accept the fact he's gay. I really like his voice and talent but that performance left me so turned off I think I'll pass now on his cd and his concerts. I felt pity for him at the end.....I'm not sure, as someone stated before, what audience he thinks he was playing to?? He should've kept his moves in his closet and let his voice take the lead. Now everyone is talking about his weird behavior instead of what a talent he is in today's music market.

Adam is a buckethead. He thinks that we are all homophobes out here. Frankly put, it was NOT a cool thing to do. His ego is so overinflated that he feels the need to say he's trailblazing. Well, surprise surprise, he isn't. Bowie did it, and better. Prince did it, and better. So, what does that make him, an also ran with a so-so album. Big deal. Next!
