LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Crystal Bowersox has signed a recording contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records.
Bowersox was the runner up during Season 9's American Idol, losing to Lee DeWyze.
After signing on the dotted line, Bowersox said, “I’m really grateful to be given this opportunity to make an album and let people hear my music. And I’m looking forward to working with all of the folks at 19/Jive.”
In response to signing Crystal, Simon Fuller released the following statement, “Crystal is one of the most naturally gifted and talented singer songwriters to have ever come out of Idol. The breadth of her talent is inspiring.” Barry Weiss of RCA/Jive added, “Crystal is in a league of her own and we look forward to working with her.”
