Meryl Streep will be appearing in The Iron Lady, a biopic about British prime minister Margaret Thatcher. Phyllida Lloyd will be directing the project.
According to producers, the script "tells the story of a woman who smashed through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world. The story concerns power and the price that is paid for power, and is a surprising and insightful portrait of an extraordinary and complex woman."
The movie is expected to start shooting later this year.
In other casting news, producers of Scream 4 have now added Adam Brody, Marley Shelton and Erik Knudsen to the cast.
Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson will be heading the effort.
Also in the cast: Scream's original characters played by Courteney Cox, David Arquette and Neve Campbell.
As for Adam Brody, he'll play a cop who has recently graduated from college. Shelton will have a connection with Neve Campbell's character.
The movie is expected to hit theaters in 2011.
