LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Pee Wee Herman, played by Paul Reubens, is making his big screen comeback with the help of producer Judd Apatow.
Reubens, who enjoyed a wave of success as Pee Wee in the late 80's, was arrested in Florida back in 1991 for allegedly masturbating in a public theater. Since then, the actor has appeared on Broadway and in minor TV appearances.
Reports claim that the upcoming Pee Wee Herman movie was written in two different versions: one for adults and one for kids. No word on which script will be developed.
Universal Pictures is backing the project. So far, no director has been named.
