LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Sara Gilbert, former star of Roseanne, has revealed that she is a lesbian.
The actress, 35, made the announcement at the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles.
Gilbert is executive producer and co-host of the upcoming talk show, The Talk. Other female celebrities on the talk show: Sharon Osbourne, Julie Chen, Leah Remini, Holly Robinson Peete, Sharon Osbourne and Marissa Jaret Winokour.
Sara Gilbert has been in a relationship with Allison Adler since 2002. They have two children together.
Everyone already knew that anyway. She just doesn't flaunt her personal life the way some feel the need to.

I am glad to have "representation" out there. There are so many lesbian couples raising children in committed, loving relationships. People look at Rosie, Melissa and others who DO NOT portray the type of familes we have built. Thats an unfair representation. I do not know much about Sara and Allison but the fact that they have chosen to keep thier family private is respectful. I just hope they make it!
