J.K. Rowling's Plagiarism Case Continues
Posted on Thu Oct 14, 2010 08:39 AM PDT

harrypotter200newimage.jpgLONDON, U.K. (X17online) - J.K. Rowling's plagiarism case will not be dismissed, according to Judge David Kitchin.

According to the court docs, the late fantasy author Adrian Jacobs claims that Rowlings copied a great portion of Jacobs’ 1987 book, The Adventures of Willy the Wizard — No. 1 Livid Land ... when writing her book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

The judge, who called Jacobs' chance of success "improbable," issued an order for a cash security before hearings could continue.

Rowling maintains that the claims are "absurd and unfounded."
