A Re-Cap Of Tuesday's 33rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors

WASHINGTON, D.C. (X17online) - The 33rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors aired last night on CBS and the list of honorees included: Oprah Winfrey, Sir Paul McCartney, Merle Haggard, Jerry Herman and Bill T. Jones.
The John F. Kennedy Center honors five individuals each year who have spent their lives enriching and inspiring others. Jennifer Hudson sang The Color Purple song I am Here in a tribute to Oprah. Steven Tyler, Norah Jones, Dave Groh, Gwen Stefani and No Doubt also attended, with the band covering popular tunes from The Beatles.
President Obama said in a speech to the honorees: “Tonight it is my honor to offer them the appreciation of a grateful nation.”
