LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Mentalist star Simon Baker has signed a $30 million deal with Warner Bros. which will add one additional year to his current six-year contract.

Mentalist centers around a well-known psychic (Baker) who becomes a consultant for the California Bureau of Investigation to help solve crimes and find "Red John," the madman who killed his wife and daughter.

Through the $30 million deal Baker will earn an additional piece of the show's back-end, and get a producer credit beginning in Season five.

The Mentalist has held solid ratings in its time slot since is launch in 2008, and is one of most DVR-ed programs on TV. Mentalist airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS, and will also air on TNT beginning 2012.
