LONDON, England (X17online) - Oscar nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite died in a Shropshire, England hospital Sunday after a long battle with cancer. He was 64.

Postlethwaite starred in two blockbuster films in 2010; The Town and Inception. Steven Spielberg, who has directed Postlewaite in The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Amistad, once called him "the best actor in the world."

The actor leaves behind his wife, Jacqui, his son Will and daughter, Lily.
