ABC Orders New Charlie's Angels Pilot, Drew Barrymore To Direct

DBarrymore082410_01_200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Charlie's Angels, the iconic 1970's classic is set to return to TV and this time the one-hour drama will be set in Miami, ABC announced Thursday.

Alfred Gough and Miles Millar wrote the script and are executive producing it with Leonard Goldberg, and Drew Barrymore, who starred in the 2000 and 2003 big-screen re-makes.

Barrymore is currently in production on the film Everybody Loves Whales about a nonprofit aid worker and a government worker who spark as they work together in the effort to free three California gray whales, who have unfortunately become trapped under the ice of the Arctic Circle. Kristin Bell and John Krasinski co-star, the film has not yet been given a set release date.
