lking020911_01_200.jpgLONDON, England (X17online) - Larry King believes his CNN replacement Piers Morgan "may have been oversold" to the American public, and he should have "perhaps started softer" when launching the CNN chat show King has commanded for 25 years, he told English broadcasting network Radio 4's evening news magazine show PM.

King goes on to say of Morgan: "I think he's a fine broadcaster; I haven't seen a lot, but the times I've seen they have been fine. One of the problems they did was to oversell it -- they said he was going to be dangerous, he was going to be water-cooler talk, it was 'wait till you see me, I'm different'. Well, he's good -- but he's not that dangerous." He said of the decision to step down: "It was time to get off the train."

King was is in London for the opening of Anna Nicole Smith, the Opera, which is showing at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.

I think Piers is much more interesting and entertaining than King. King's shows were boring and he appeared out of touch with reality.
