NEW YORK, New York (X17online) - Billy Joel will not go forward with his $3 million memoir The Book of Joel due to his dad's death.
The memoir was set to be published by HarperCollins on June 19, however he decided to pull the plug.
The 61-year-old "Piano Man" singer released the following statement:
- "It took working on writing a book to make me realize that I'm not all that interested in talking about the past, and that the best expression of my life and its ups and downs has been and remains my music."
Joel's father passed away on March 7 in Vienna.
