LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) -- Elizabeth Hurley will have a recurring role on the upcoming season of Gossip Girl, The CW has confirmed.

Hurley will play Diana Payne, who producers describe as “a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with.”

Hurley became famous as a model, but also starred in the Austin Powers franchise and in films such as Serving Sara and Bedazzaled. She was playing a role in the Wonder Woman pilot set for fall, but the pilot was not picked up to series.
