LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Katie Couric’s new ABC talk show will simply be called Katie.
The program, which has been given the tagline, "The Opportunity Begins September 6th," is part of a larger deal between ABC and Couric in which the longtime host will anchor specials, conduct interviews, and appear at special events across ABC television programs.
Disney/ABC Television Group president Anne Sweeney revealed to The Hollywood Reporter in June that Katie would be a “topical” program that aims to “capture the zeitgeist of what people are talking about.”
