LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Victoria’s Secret and Sports Illustrated model Marissa Miller has joined the cast of Universal’s R.I.P.D., starring Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges.

Based on the comic by Peter M. Lenkov., R.I.P.D. stars Reynolds as a murdered cop who is recruited to work in a police division made up of ghosts, known as the Rest In Peace Department. Bridges will play Reynolds’ police partner and Miller will be his human avatar.

Though this will be Miller’s debut film performance, she has made multiple television appearances on Entourage, Gary Unmarried, and How I Met Your Mother.

Miller, a former Victoria’s Secret Angel and 2008 SI Swimsuit cover girl, is following in the footsteps of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Brooklyn Decker, who both made model-to-actress transitions this year in major Hollywood flicks - Transformers: Dark of the Moon and Just Go With It, respectively.

R.I.P.D. is scheduled to hit screens June 28, 2013.
