LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Pan Am’s debut episode drew an impressive 10.8 million viewers.
The pilot for ABC’s period drama about a Pan Am flight crew, which reportedly cost $10 million to make, signaled a strong start for the series.
Pan Am managed to build upon the viewership of its lead-in, Desperate Housewives, which launched its final season with an audience of 9.7 million.
Pan Am’s debut was still eclipsed by Sunday night football, however, with the Pittsburgh Steelers-Indianapolis Colts game drawing 17.7 million viewers to NBC.
