LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Andy Rooney will retire from 60 Minutes after 33 years, CBS announced Wednesday.
Rooney, who has contributed to the show since its July 1978 debut, will make the announcement on this Sunday’s episode.
“There’s nobody like Andy and there never will be,” said Jeff Fager, chairman of CBS News and the executive producer of 60 Minutes. “His contributions to 60 Minutes are immeasurable.”
