LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Dane Cook is back to acting.

The stand-up comedian has just inked a development deal with NBC for a half-hour comedy, according to Deadline.

Many networks were interested in the project, which Cook will star in and produce through his company SUperFInger Entertainment.

This is the second show NBC has lined up with a comedian for next fall -- Sarah Silverman also has a project in the works for the network.
