Zooey092811.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Zooey Deschanel's adorkable TV comedy New Girl has been picked up for a full-season.

The freshman sitcom has only aired two episodes so far, but Fox has ordered 11 more to bring the show up to a full 24-episode season.

The series debuted to 10.1 million total viewers, topping it's lead-in Glee. It was the highest-rated program of the evening. The second episode brought in 9.3 million, dropping just 8 percent in the 18-49 demo.

Fox's president of entertainment Kevin Reilly said:

“We love the charming Zooey Deschanel and the entire cast, we’re knocked out with the work that [creator] Liz Meriwether and the whole staff is doing and we are really psyched about the upcoming episodes in the pipeline."

New Girl is the first full-season pick-up from Fox this year.
