LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - An Elton John biopic is in the works, Deadline is reporting.
Elton John himself is behind the project, titled Rocketman, as well as his Rocket Pictures partner David Furnish and Billy Elliot scribe and playwright Lee Hall. John and Hall last teamed up for the Tony Award-winning Broadway adaptation of Billy Elliot, for which John wrote the score.
Rocketman is being touted as a “biographical musical fantasy” that follows John’s prolific musical career.
