The Lion King 3D Tops Box Office, Beats Moneyball And Dolphin Tale

LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Disney’s 3D re-release of The Lion King took the top spot at the domestic box office this weekend, beating out Brad Pitt’s Moneyball and Dolphin Tale.
The Lion King earned an impressive $22.1 million in its second weekend, trailed by Pitt’s baseball flick Moneyball ($20.6 million) and Dolphin Tale ($20.3 million) in their opening weekends.
Lionsgate’s thriller Abduction, starring Taylor Lautner in his first leading role, raked in a more disappointing $11.2 million.
