Mafia Wife Author Threatens Legal Action Against Mob Wives Producers
Posted on Thu Oct 13, 2011 11:50 AM PDT

mobwives200.jpgNEW YORK, New York (X17online) - VH1’s Mob Wives are facing even more legal issues – though this time, they’re non-violent.

Author of Mafia Wife Lynda Milito has sent Mob Wives producers – including the Weinstein Co., Electus, and JustJenn Productions - a cease-and-desist letter, claiming that the reality show exhibits “striking similarities to Ms. Milito's original works."

Milito also claims to have contacted Weinstein Books, the publishing imprint of the Weinstein Co., about a sequel to Mafia Wife called Mafia Secrets in August 2010. The Weinstein Co. counters that Mob Wives had been in development prior to any communication between the two parties.
