LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - HBO Films has picked up a Liberace biopic starring Michael Douglas and Matt Damon.
The Steven Soderbergh-directed flick will chronicle the love affair between Liberace, played by Douglas, and boyfriend Scott Thorson, played by Damon.
"This is a story that's going to surprise a lot of people," HBO Films president Len Amato shared at a Tuesday press conference. "With Steven at the helm, directing such accomplished actors as Michael Douglas and Matt Damon, this is a dream project for us."
