RoseanneBarr101011.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Her reality show Roseanne's Nuts was cancelled by Lifetime after one season, but Roseanne Barr is bouncing back with a new scripted production deal.

NBC picked up Downwardly Mobile for a pilot deal, according to Deadline. The multi-camera sitcom focuses on a working class family living in a mobile home community with their friends, all of whom are struggling in today's economy. Barr co-created the show with boyfriend John Argent and former Roseanne executive producer Eric Gilliland.

This comes fourteen years after NBC passed on Roseanne, the working class sitcom that later made a successful nine year run on ABC. Downwardly Mobile is in the same familiar territory as Barr's last scripted run, as the actress feels society is in as similar a place as it was twenty years ago.
