LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Snoop Dogg is about to transition from rap star to family sitcom star.

According to Deadline, NBC has picked up a family comedy project that stars Snoop Dogg as father. Snoop is also on board as producer, and Don Reo – who was behind sitcoms Blossom and Everybody Hates Chris – will write.

The rapper last starred on TV in his E! reality show Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood.
