LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - The Gap has hired high-powered lawyer Louis Petrich in Kim Kardashian’s multimillion-dollar case against the company.
Kardashian filed a lawsuit against the Gap – parent company of Old Navy – for an Old Navy commercial that featured an alleged Kardashian look-a-like.
Petrich, who specializes in legal issues surrounding intellectual property and the First Amendment within the entertainment industry, counters that his client’s advertising activities are protected by the First Amendment "inasmuch as such activities include significant informational elements and/or constitute a transformative use."
