NEW YORK, New York (X17online) - Gayle King and Charlie Rose are joining the CBS News team, according to the New York Times.
CBS has recruited the two personalities to its morning news program in an effort to keep up in the competitive morning news market, which includes NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America.
Rose will co-anchor the show during its 7 a.m. time slot with Erica Hill, while King will co-anchor its 8 a.m. time slot with Jeff Glor.
Though Rose will continue to host Charlie Rose on PBS, King will step down from The Gayle King Show on OWN for the new gig.
