LOS ANGELES, California (X17online) Robert DeNiro has signed on to play Ponzi-scheming financier Bernie Madoff in an upcoming HBO flick.
DeNiro’s Tribeca Productions and HBO are developing a TV movie adaptation of the book Truth and Consequences: Inside the Life of the Madoff Family by Diane Henrique.
The actor will executive produce alongside Jane Rosenthal, and novelist John Burnham Schwartz will write the screenplay.
