BAFTA To Honor Martin Scorsese

scorsesebafta200.jpgLOS ANGELES, California (X17online) - Director Martin Scorsese will be awarded a BAFTA fellowship, the British Academy’s highest honor.

The fellowship recognizes individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to film.

Past recipients of the BAFTA fellowship include Charlie Chaplin, Sean Connery, Judi Dench, Alfred Hitchcock, Anthony Hopkins, Stanley Kubrick, Laurence Olivier, Vanessa Redgrave, Steven Spielberg, and Elizabeth Taylor.

Scorsese will also receive the Music+Film Award at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards later this month.

BAFTA’s awards ceremony will take place on Feb. 12.
